Children enjoy the 2019 Mid-Autumn Festival at Thang Long Imperial Citadel. |
Celebrations feature traditional activities such as dragon dances and making mooncakes, multi-coloured paper and star-shaped lanterns.
There will also be a discussion on the Mid-Autumn festival, and a lantern festival during the Le-Trinh Dynasty in the early 17th century.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on full moon day of the eighth lunar month, with people often preparing trays with mooncakes, candy, and fruit.
