The master plan announced by the Transport Ministry on Thursday aims to develop green sea ports, save energy, and effectively use marine resources. It gives priority to developing international gateway ports and large-scale seaports to support economic growth.

Minister of Transport Nguyen Van The said his Ministry will create the best possible conditions for localities and investors and work closely with relevant agencies to make full use of Vietnam’s seaport system.

“Vietnam has hundreds of seaports, with Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, being the most significant group. We will exploit the enormous potential of the seaport system for economic growth”, said The.
