Malaysian PM shares digital transition experience with Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - Visiting Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad held a dialogue with leaders and staff of the FPT Group and more than 100 students at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Hanoi on Wednesday.

Sharing Malaysia’s success in its digital transition, Mahathir said his country has built a comprehensive  plan to catch up with the 4th Industrial Revolution, thus improving its global competitiveness and creating  added value. 

He said Malaysia is accelerating its digital transition with  key pillars of the Industry 4.0: smart tourism, smart education and safe city development, towards the goal of turning the country into one of the world’s leading 20 economies by 2050. 

Mahathir also spoke highly of Vietnam’s digital transition and e-government development , with contributions by information technology groups, including the FPT. 

After the talk, he test drove a Vinfast car, a new car brand of Vietnam.
