The ceremony was attended by National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong.

The 30MWp plant was built at a cost of nearly 40 million USD, invested by Phuoc Huu Power Investment Joint Stock Company. More than 92,000 solar panels were installed in an area of 33 ha. The plant is expected to generate more than 47,000 MWh per year, helping to turn Ninh Thuan into a leading renewable energy hub in Vietnam.

Seven more solar power projects will become operational in Ninh Thuan by the end of this month, bringing the province’s total solar power capacity to more than 1,100 MW.
