The kit, launched by Sao Thai Duong JSC and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, gives accurate COVID-19 test results in less than an hour. The error rate of the kit is comparable to the world’s best Real-time PCR.

Nguyen Thi Huong Lien, Sao Thai Duong JSC’s Deputy Director General, said “It takes 30 minutes for the Real-time LAMP kit to detect the virus, and 20 minutes for RNA extraction. We are waiting now for the results of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. We hope that by the end of November, we will have authorization in Vietnam and Europe.”
