Tran Quang Khang, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, said that the figure has doubled over the same period from last year.
“We proudly welcomed an increasing number of tourists, most of whom were from our targeted markets. Our key tourism products have attracted more visitors, which affirmed our forecast concerning the development in tourism. We will continue to support our various tourism businesses to improve their quality and promote Lai Chau’s tourism to increase both Vietnamese and foreigners,” said Khang.
On another positive note, Tra Vinh province welcomed 85,000 tourists from April 29th to May 3rd, an astonishing 50,000 more than the previous year. Total revenue reached was nearly 2 million USD.
While visiting the Museum of Khmer Ethnic Culture, visitors also had the opportunity to watch the exhibition "Con Dao-Tra Vinh culture and tourism".
