Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong said that this year the number of corruption cases fell, boosting public trust in the Party, the State, and the Government.

The Government and the Prime Minister have instructed ministries, sectors, and localities to increase inspections in areas of high risk of corruption or negative phenomena, said Phong, adding that greater efforts will be made to prevent the harassment of people and businesses and recover lost assets following investigation of corruption cases.
