Leaders visit national contributors on War Invalids and Martyrs Day

(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang visited the Long Dat nursing centre for wounded soldiers and national contributors in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on Thursday on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27.

Mr. Quang said that care for revolutionary contributors is the Party and State’s consistent policy and shows Vietnam’s tradition “when drinking water, remember its source”: “I hope that Ba Ria-Vung Tau will continue providing good healthcare services to wounded soldiers and care for revolutionary contributors. That’s our responsibility and duty”, Mr. Quang said. 

On Friday, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc laid a wreath and offered incense at the Kim Lien special national relic site in Nghe An province's Nam Dan district to pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh. He then burned incense at Truong Bon historical site in My Son commune, to commemorate heroic martyrs.

Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, offered incense to martyrs at a monument and visited revolutionaries in Dak Lak province on Friday as part of his tour of Dak Lak. Mr. Vuong expressed his boundless gratitude and profound respect to those who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom and for people’s happiness. 

The same day, Tran Thanh Man, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province. Afterwards at a working session, Mr. Man called on local authorities to give more care to national contributors.

On the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day, on Friday, Pham Minh Chinh, head of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission, visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiaries in Quang Tri province.
