Paxaxon newspaper of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party wrote that during the war, Lao and Vietnamese armies and people worked closely and shared difficulties while fighting against their shared enemy. The Lao-Vietnam combat coalition is a symbol of strong will and determination to fight for national independence, freedom, and justice. The newspaper says with unity, armies and peoples of the two countries won victory after victory and that many Vietnamese volunteers sacrificed in Laos to bring peace and freedom for Lao and Vietnamese people.

The PathetLao of the Lao News Agency wrote the Lao Party and State acknowledged Vietnamese volunteers and experts in building and fostering relationships and special solidarity between the two countries and armies.
