(VOVworld) – A conference on investment and tourism development promotion in Lao Cai province in 2016 was held on Sunday.

The province called for investments in its potential projects including the Lao Cai air terminal, the Lao Cai-Ha Noi railway, the Red river inland waterway, the development of Sa Pa into a national key tourist area, the second phase of the Noi Bai-Lao Cai highway, and the Lao Cai border economic zone. In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung said: “I believe that the Party, government, people, businesses, and investors of Lao Cai will continue to reform to make the most of their resources and potentials. Close coordination with ministries and other provinces is needed to improve the business environment towards turning Lao Cai into one the most developed province in Vietnam’s northwestern region.”
