(VOVworld) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has conferred the title “heroic city” to Lao Cai on the 65thanniversary of the city’s Party cell on Saturday.

This was in recognition of the city’s progress, especially in annual growth rate of 16.5% since 2005 with per capita income tripled over the past 5 years. Proper economic restructuring has enabled the city to raise local people living standards, ensure national security and social order while expanding foreign relations.
