Following the redeployment, Hamas will release all remaining hostages—alive or deceased—within the next 72 hours.

In the first phase of the US peace initiative, Hamas will release all 48 hostages in exchange for Israel’s release of 1,750 Palestinian prisoners. The first group of hostages could be freed as early as next week.

World leaders have welcomed the agreement and praised President Trump’s mediation efforts in brokering what many have described as a “historic deal.”

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer urged both sides to fully comply with the terms of the agreement. Other global leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres, also commended President Trump and lauded the diplomatic efforts of the US, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog thanked President Trump for his “extraordinary leadership” in ending the conflict, rescuing hostages, and rekindling hope for peace in the Middle East.

The Palestinian Authority, which administers parts of the West Bank, also welcomed the agreement and expressed appreciation to the US President and other mediators, calling it a crucial step toward a just and lasting political solution.
