Abbas Arqchi, who is also part of Iran’s negotiating team, said on Thursday that the talks with the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany will begin on Wednesday, December 17th, two days earlier than scheduled.

At the most recent negotiating session, despite progress, the two sides failed to clinch a definitive deal by the November 24th deadline and agree to extend the talks until July 1st.

Iran and the P5+1 group will seek to strike an outline deal by March and nail down a full technical accord by July.
