Tehran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday accused the West of acting on “faulty intelligence”, while Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani on Tuesday called the move by Britain, France, and Germany an economic attack on the people of Iran and promised “appropriate and proportionate action”.

The three European countries previously announced measures to revoke air services agreements with Iran, and impose sanctions on flag carrier Iran Air, as well as “significant entities and individuals involved in Iran's ballistic missile program and the transfer of ballistic missiles and other weapons to Russia.”
