Mr. Amir-Abdollahian made the statement after meeting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, saying that Tehran has seen signs that the US, which Donald Trump withdrew from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in 2018, wants to reverse that decision.
The meeting came after Mr. Lavrov’s phone call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to discuss resumption of nuclear talks. He said dialogues should be resumed as soon as possible and called for the US’s commitment to the JCPOA.
