Iran enhances cooperation with Thailand, China

(VOVworld) - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani met with the Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan Ocha on the sidelines of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit on Sunday in Bangkok. Rouhani said terrorism, violence, and extremism were global issues which require all countries to cooperate and fight together. The Thai Prime Minister agreed with Iran’s anti-terrorism approach.

Rouhani said terrorism, violence, and extremism were global issues which require all countries to cooperate and fight together. The Thai Prime Minister agreed with Iran’s anti-terrorism approach.

The Iranian President also held talks with Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao, during which they both expressed a willingness to fully implement the consensus reached by the two countries in January.
Rouhani said Iran wanted to further enhance cooperation with China in connectivity, finance, energy, education, and address regional problems by mapping out a 25-year cooperation agreement more quickly. Li responded that China was willing to work with Iran in implementing the consensus reached by the two presidents and to deepen their strategic partnership.
