According to the organizer, "contestants from 130 countries will gather in India to brandish their unique talents, intellect, and compassion. They will participate in a series of rigorous competitions, including talent, sports challenges, and charitable initiatives".
The event's grand finale is scheduled for November or December 2023.
After 27 years India has returned to hosting the long-running beauty pageant, with its last Miss World being in 1996.
India has won the Miss World's crown six times in the event's 70-year history.
