(VOVworld) – The National Assembly Office held a workshop on Wednesday to discuss measures to improve the quality of Q&A activities at the National Assembly in order to effectively implement the Constitution.

The workshop was within the framework of the National Development Cooperation Strategy of the US Agency for International Development in Vietnam for the 2014-2018 period. Delegates discussed the effectiveness and shortcomings at hearings and proposed a number of measures to improve quality in the future. These include increasing coordination betwene National Assembly committees and consolidating the procedures guiding supervisory activities. Addressing the event, National Assembly Vice chairman Huynh Ngoc Son said: “Hearings should be reformed while we are implementing the new Constitution. The law on the organization of the National Assembly will take effect soon and the law on the supervision of the National Assembly and People’s Councils will also be considered. Opinions from the workshop will contribute to reforming Q&A activities at the National Assembly.”
