During a reception for IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde in Hanoi on Wednesday, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung briefed Lagarde about Vietnam’s recent achievements saying Vietnam will continue to stabilize its macro-economy and hopes to achieve 7% growth in the next five years.

Lagarde said that in addition to financial support, the IMF will provide technical support and personnel training for Vietnam. She urged Vietnam to continue improving labor productivity and business competitiveness, and said the IMF is prepared to help Vietnam fulfill its development goals.
