(VOVWORLD) - The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says Iran has produced a small amount of uranium metal (3,6g) at a facility in Isfahan, in a further violation of the 2015 nuclear deal, according to a Wednesday report.

Uranium metal can be used as a component in nuclear weapons.

Iran warned that time is running out for US President Joe Biden's administration to salvage the 2015 JCPOA nuclear deal.
Earlier, Iran announced it has stepped up its uranium enrichment process to 20 percent purity, far above the 3.67 percent level permitted by the deal, but far below the amount required for an atomic bomb.
