“The FIFA Women's World Cup, however, will be a challenge at a different level altogether and Vietnam will need the talismanic Huynh Nhu to be at her best to power them in Australia/New Zealand 2023,” it added.

Huynh Nhu is widely regarded as one of the country’s most outstanding footballers, with her achievements including winning the Golden Ball award four times, helping the national women’s football team bag gold medals at the SEA Games in 2017, 2019, and 2021, as well as lifting the 2019 AFF Cup. So far, the female player has scored a total of 59 goals for the national women’s football team.

The ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023 hosted by Australia and New Zealand will see the Women's World Cup expanded from 24 to 32 teams and is scheduled to take place from July 20 to August 20 next year.
