At the meetings and talks with the Hungarian President, Party General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that the visit, taking place at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, is an important event, contributing to creating a breakthrough in the Vietnam-Hungary Comprehensive Partnership.
The senior Vietnamese leaders said Vietnam treasures and wishes to strengthen cooperation with Hungary, Vietnam's top priority partner and its first Comprehensive Partner in Central Eastern Europe.
President Tamas said Hungary considers Vietnam its most important partner in Southeast Asia and wishes to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in all fields.
The leaders of the two countries stressed the need to promote effective cooperation in traditional fields such as defense-security, science-technology, agriculture, medicine-pharmacy, culture, tourism, people-to-people exchange, while expanding cooperation in new fields such as digital transformation, IT, environment, and water resources management, among others.
