The week-long event will include a food festival, themed "The quintessence of the craft of making bun (Vietnamese rice noodles)", a cultural and art exchange between Hue city and other cities, a street performance festival, a lantern festival along the Perfume River, and a ceremony to worship the ancestors of the traditional crafts.

Vice Chairman of the Hue municipal People’s Committee Truong Dinh Hanh said the committee hopes that Hue’s traditional craft villages will revive and develop after each festival.

It’s essential to continue to promote cultural values, and improve product quality associated with tourism and service development, he said, stressing the need to focus on developing handicraft products, rural industries, and craft villages and support artisans.
