(VOVworld) – An ASEAN Art Night was held on Saturday as part of the 2014 Hue Festival in Thua Thien Hue province. Visitors were treated to performances typical of ASEAN countries and their diverse cultures. Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh, and ministers responsible for culture and art of ASEAN members and 3 dialogue countries China, Japan and the Republic of Korea attended the event.
Phan Tien Dung, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: “Hue has been recognized as ASEAN’s culture city. This year’s festival features the diverse cultural traditions throughout Vietnam and of regional countries. Hue will represent Vietnam to hold art performances with other countries in ASEAN and dialogue countries: the Republic of Korea, Japan, and China.”
