(VOVworld)- The Honorary Consul General of Vietnam to Busan, the Republic of Korea (RoK) Park Soo-kwan has pledged to do his utmost to further friendship and cooperation between the two countries. At a meeting in Hanoi with National Assembly Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son on Wednesday, Park said he hoped that Vietnam would continue to assist foreign businesses, including those from the RoK, in their operations in the country. Park said that his entourage would work with ministry officials to explore the investment climate in Vietnam. Vice Chairman Son acknowledged Park’s valuable and practical assistance in promoting bilateral friendship and cooperation and said that he hoped the Honorary Consul General would uphold his role as a close friend of the Vietnamese people and act as a bridge to enhance relations between the two countries.

Earlier, at a Tuesday reception for Vietnam’s Honorary Consul General to Korea’s Busan city, Park Soo-kwan, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc highlighted Mr. Park’s visit as an important event in the bilateral strategic partnership.Phuc said the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea is developing in a friendly and co-operative manner.

The Deputy Prime Minister praised Mr. Park’s efforts in connecting and promoting friendly cooperation between the two countries in economics, investment, trade, culture, and education and training. Mr. Phuc expressed his hope that the Consul General will continue to contribute to improving Vietnam-Republic of Korea ties and supporting the Vietnamese community in the Republic of Korea.
Mr. Park said he hopes that Vietnam will facilitate the Republic of Korean enterprises doing business in Vietnam and vowed to do his utmost to enhance friendship and co-operation between the two peoples.
