This year’s Earth Hour campaign features projects to promote green innovations and energy saving and efficiency. Ngo Thanh Long from Thu Thiem district Power Company said each individual’s effort to cut power consumption by 1 KW will help save a huge amount of energy.

"Saving energy also means saving money so I encourage my family, friends, and colleagues to turn off electric appliances whenever possible and set their refrigerators at proper temperatures," he said.

63,000 volunteers have registered at the official Facebook fanpage of Earth Hour Vietnam.
