Ho Chi Minh City boosts cooperation with US partners

(VOVWORLD) - Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council Nguyen Thi Le on Wednesday received Melissa Brown, Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs at the US Department of State, who is on a working visit to the city.

The Chairwoman said she hopes that the US Department of State will suggest US enterprises come to explore investment opportunities in areas matching Ho Chi Minh City’s priority and their potential such as smart city building, digital transformation, innovation, and environmental issues.

Brown said she hopes the two countries’ partnership will develop in an effective and practical manner. As the two nations are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their comprehensive partnership this year, the US Department of State supports the continuation of mutual visits and people-to-people exchanges.
