From 5 p.m. on Thursday to 5 p.m. on Friday, Vietnam recorded 6,957 new COVID-19 cases, of which 16 were imported and 6,941 were locally-transmitted, a decrease of 996 cases against the previous day. 136 deaths were reported.

Vietnam’s caseload has so far reached 797,712, ranking 44 out of 223 countries and territories. According to the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranked 155 out of 223 countries and territories.
