Speaking at a reception for a Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) delegation led by Grant T. Coates, a Veteran Initiatives Program member, Mang highlighted HCM City’s good relations with the US and its active role in fostering the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership. The city has cooperated with American partners like Fulbright University and the city of San Francisco in multiple projects, he noted.

Coates said the 25-year-old program will continue to cooperate with concerned parties to settle post-war issues, such as aftermath of Agent Orange/Dioxin and unexploded ordnance disposal.
