Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc addressed the conference on Hau Giang's trade and investment promotion

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc spoke highly of Hau Giang province’s potential for agricultural and fishery development, high-quality rice, and fruit cultivation. At a conference on Hau Giang’s trade and investment potential today/ Thursday, Mr Phuc urged the province to set long-term development plans across the Mekong Delta region. He asked the province to continue improving the business environment, promptly support businesses, build a startup ecosystem, and improve human resources.

Prime Minister Phuc said: “The province has an abundant workforce. But human resource training to meet businesses’ demand remains poor. In order to attract investors for development, the province should focus on education and training for rural people to shift from farm work to other sectors. The rural workforce accounts for 70% of the province’s population and a shift to other sector is necessary.”

The Prime Minister said the government will continue to stabilize the macro-economy, control inflation, and build a constructive government of integrity and action to serve the people.
