Every 3kg of used paper or plastic or every 2kg of metal were exchanged for a small ornamental tree. Visitors also joined environmental protection activities such as waste sorting and recycling.
“The ‘Trash for trees’ event is organized every last Friday of a month to raise public awareness of waste classification to protect the environment,” Hoang Thị Kieu from Green Life said.
Visitor Nguyen Thị Phuong Mai said, “This meaningful program helps us better understand nature and the environment and how to recycle waste and make full use of it.”
