“Hanoi should strive to fulfill its key targets set for 2020, including growth, job generation, tax collection, and contributions to Vietnam’s overall achievement. Hanoi’s GDP growth in the first quarter was nearly 4%, much lower than the same period last year, though the figure typifies an effort against the pandemic," Mr. Phuc told Hanoi leaders.
"I suggest a resolute determination and coordination to clear all the obstacles for the development of Hanoi itself and Vietnam as a whole.”
Hanoi has detailed three possible senarios for the COVID-19 pandemic, each accompanied by an action plan. For the best scenario, the city aims for a 7.5% growth rate this year.
