Under the theme “Hanoi Ao Dai – Radiance of Heritage”, the festival features Ao Dai as a symbol of harmony between tradition and modernity, connecting Hanoi with other regions  through the heritage of Ao Dai.

From Thursday to Sunday, the organizers encourage the public to actively participate and celebrate their love for the Vietnamese Ao Dai. Highlights will include a children’s Ao Dai performance called “I Love Hanoi,” which captures the innocence and charm of childhood, and the grand finale of the design contest “Ao Dai – Connecting Heritage.”

There will also be an Ao Dai parade around Hoan Kiem Lake, an experiential tour called “Touching Hanoi Autumn,” and a mass Ao Dai performance called “Hanoi Women – Integration and Development.”

The Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival is held annually to promote the love of Ao Dai and its value in society, Ms. Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, said.

“The Ao Dai is not only a symbol of the elegance of Vietnamese people but also serves as a tourism ambassador connecting friends from around the world. This festival is also an opportunity to promote to the international community the image of Hanoi as a sophisticated, civilized, creative city and contribute to Hanoi’s goal of developing a green, sustainable tourism industry,” she said.
