 A ceremony launches a contest on designing the Kilometer Zero milestone in Hanoi |
Experts recommend three places to install the landmark in the area of Hoan Kiem lake: the intersection of Dinh Tien Hoang – Hang Khay street, in the yard in front of King Ly Thai To statue, and on the bank of Hoan Kiem Lake facing King Ly Thai To statue.
The organizing board is scheduled to give a first prize of 4.300 USD, a second prize of 3.400 USD, and a third prize of 2.200 USD.
The award ceremony will be organized on July 15th together with an event to collect public opinions. Winning designs will be submitted to Hanoi authorities for final consideration.
