The event, which will run until June 9, will gather dozens of films from Vietnam and 9 European countries including France, Denmark, the UK and Spain. Trinh Quang Tung, Vice Director General of the National Documentary and Scientific Studio, said that the Europe-Vietnam Documentary Film Festival, in its 10th edition, has become a popular favorite in Vietnam.
“We have some other Vietnamese documentary producers being invited to the Festival for the first time. One of the highlights of the event will be a film about German Chancellor Angela Merkel,” said Tung.
The 2019 Europe-Vietnam Documentary Film Festival will open on Friday with the screening of a Vietnamese and a Belgian film.
