“Medical services at the hospital have been halted for disinfection. We are tracing all people who had contact with the patient and their relatives to prevent any COVID-19 spread,” said Hai Phong's Vice Chairman Do Viet Hung.
The patient’s residential area in Hoang Dong commune has been isolated and disinfected. The nurse, who did not exhibit any symptoms of COVID-19, said she did not travel out of the city in the last 14 days.
In addition to the nurse, Hai Phong recorded two more cases on Monday.
The same day, neighboring Hai Duong province confirmed 6 more COVID-19 cases, bringing its total number of infections since January 27 to 617. All of the latest patients had been sent to quarantine areas before testing positive for coronavirus.
