In a letter to Lao Party leader and President Thongloun Sisoulith on the occasion of the Bunpimay traditional festival, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong expressed his wish that Lao people would reap further success in national development and successfully realize the resolution of the 11th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. Mr. Trong said Vietnam will do its utmost to foster its special friendship with Laos for the interests of the two peoples and for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
In a letter to President of the Cambodian People’s Party and Prime Minister Hun Sen on the occasion of the Chol Chnam Thmay festival, Party leader Trong praised Cambodia’s achievements and expressed his belief in the country’s greater achievements, successful organization of the 2022 communal council elections, and successful ASEAN chairmanship in 2022.
Party General Secretary Trong also sent greetings to Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni on the occasion.
To mark the occasion, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue , and Standing member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong sent greetings to Lao and Cambodian leaders.
