Deputy Minister Hai said that the Green Economy Forum & Exhibition features innovative technologies, quality products, as well as initiatives and models of green economy and circular economy. Seminars and discussions within the framework of the event will boost cooperation between businesses of Vietnam and the EU, create a green and sustainable Vietnamese economy via technology exchange.
The three-day event aims to support Vietnam’s socio-economic development goals specified in its National Green Growth Strategy for the 2021-2030 period.
The General Department of Vietnam Customs said that during the second year of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (from August 2021 to July 2022), two-way trade between Vietnam and the EU totaled 61.4 billion USD, up 12 % from the first year.
Tariff reduction incentives under the EVFTA have improved Vietnam’s competitiveness and expanded its market share in the EU. The EVFTA gives Vietnam access to high-quality goods and promotes the application of new technology and new models of green economic development in Vietnam.
