Chairing a meeting of the National Steering Committee on Price Management in Hanoi on Wednesday to evaluate the price management for the first half of the year and discuss measures to fulfill all set targets for the remainder of the year, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc pointed out 4 requirements.

He said, “First, achieve the highest growth target possible and the Government strives for a growth rate of 4%. Second, ensure social security and fight unemployment, because hundreds of millions of people are losing their jobs due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is an opportunity for us to strengthen vocational training and restructure labor training. Third, maintain the Consumer Price Index at 4% or below. Fourth, ensure the major balance of the economy. Food must be reserved in all circumstances.”
