President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man praised the government for its swift actions to cope with unusual challenges facing the country last year including the Covid-19 pandemic, and drought and floods in central and southwestern provinces.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized on coordinated efforts to fight the pandemic and donation worth 87 million USD mobilized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front in a short period of time.

He spoke about tasks for this year, including the implementation of the Party resolutions following the 13th National Party Congress. He says, 'Pandemic control should be continued despite vaccine availability plus preventive measures dubbed 5 K’s without any complacency. National unity and social consensus should be promoted to strengthen national patriotism for successful implementation of the twin tasks set out by the Party, the State and the Fatherland Front.'
