(VOVworld)- On Wednesday, the government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized a conference to review their cooperative efforts last year and develop directions for next year.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front co-chaired the event. In his address, the Prime Minister said strengthened bilateral cooperation would help them better fulfill their tasks and contribute to national development. Dung said:“The Fatherland Front promotes people’s right to mastery. Through the front, the people oversee the State and the implementation of Party guidelines, State policies, and the Constitution. By collecting the people’s opinions, the government improves its policies thus creating consensus among the public. The people exercise their right to mastery through oversight activities”.
