A VOV reporter receives the 2018 Golden Hammer & Sickle Press Awards on January 25, 2019.

The awards recognize outstanding works by Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad in disseminating information and promoting the understanding of Party policies. 

“Each media work will help improve the Party’s performance and encourage party members to set an example in their life and career,” said National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) won one A prize, two B prizes, two C prizes, and one consolation prize. 

The contest drew more than 1,800 entries in all media forms, including print, radio, TV, and online.
