Golden Hammer and Sickle Award 2017 presented

Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong, President Tran Dai Quang, and senior Party and State officials attended the event. In his address, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Tran Quoc Vuong said that since it was first launched two years ago, the award inspired journalists’ passion and aspiration for disseminating information about the Party and Party building. He congratulated award winners saying that Party building is the task of Party organizations and the whole political system and the public. He emphasized the importance role of media in fulfilling this task: “Each press agency, each journalist needs to be well aware of Party guidelines on Party building and closely work with grassroots level organizations to honor achievements and criticize violations. Each Party member should maintain the stance of a communist and be a role model in Party building.”

The Voice of Vietnam won one A prize, 1 B prize, and 1 consolation prize.
