According to US officials, the US delegation met bilaterally with the Egyptian and Qatari delegations on Saturday. Representatives from Egypt and Qatar met with the Hamas delegation when it arrived in Egypt to update them on the ceasefire agreement, but they did not participate in the talks. There have been no sign of progress from the talks between the parties.

Israeli military strikes in Gaza killed 50 people on Saturday, Palestinian health authorities said. Victims of hostilities over the past 48 hours remain lying on roads where fighting continues or trapped under rubble, the authorities said. Since last October, Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed more than 40,000 Palestinians and injured more than 93,000 others.

In July, the number of children diagnosed with acute malnutrition in northern Gaza was four times higher than in May, whereas in the south it more than doubled. Only one per cent of children in northern Gaza and six per cent in the south were able to receive the recommended dietary diversity, according to a report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
