White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced the visit Monday, saying it will “underscore the deep and enduring relationship with France, US’s oldest ally.”

The two sides will discuss global issues and topics of shared interest, including climate change, the global economy, and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

President Macron visited the White House in April, 2018, when Donald Trump was the US President.
