During the two-day visit, he held talks with the Vietnamese President and met with Party, Government and National Assembly leaders. They agreed to strengthen cooperation in all areas to deepen their strategic partnership and considered economic cooperation a key pillar in bilateral ties. They upheld the settlement of disputes by peaceful means based on international law, especially the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
