France provides Vietnam additional 1.4 million doses of vaccine

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam has over the past two days received about 1.4 million more doses of Pfizer vaccine donated by France, including 400,000 doses via bilateral channels and nearly 1 million doses via COVAX mechanism.

The total number of vaccines doses provided by France has reached more than 2 million doses so far. The assistance of the French Government and people is a testament to the strategic partnership between the two countries and the spirit of cooperation and mutual support in disease prevention.

According the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, France has so far donated 67 million doses of vaccines to more than 45 countries through the COVAX Facility, becoming the second biggest donor after the United States.
