An estimated 8.7 million tonnes of seafood have been exported so far this year, up 1% against last year.

According to the Directorate, the COVID-19 pandemic have disrupted global supply chains and directly hit the production and sales of aquatic products.

But global economic recovery following vaccination and the advantages brought by bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements are favorable factors for Vietnam's seafood industry to continue to grow in 2022, it said.
