The Prime Minister has adopted a master program on thrift and waste prevention with 8 key tasks and 4 groups of solutions under which ministries, agencies, and localities develop plans for achieving savings targets and monitoring compliance with the law on thrift and waste prevention in land management, public investment, and management of the science and technology budget.

These resources will be allocated to COVID-19 prevention and control and socio-economic recovery and development.

Many ministries, branches, and localities have high savings rates, he added.

The NA’s Finance and Budget Committee asked delegates to give opinions on thrift and waste prevention in administrative reform and management of the state budget, land, minerals, and natural resources.
