At a reception for FIFA President Gianni Infantino while in New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly’s 76th session, President Phuc thanked Infantino for his support for Vietnamese football. The two agreed that football is an effective bridge between people.

The FIFA President said Vietnam’s policies for the development of football and other sports have resulted in greater soccer achievements and turned Vietnamese teams into formidable opponents. He vowed to support the VFF and said he hopes to visit Vietnam again soon.
